Information Collection
We do not collect any personal information from users, such as name, contact details, occupation, transaction records, or account activities.
Our extensions only access data directly within the user’s browser session on tradingview.com, specifically:
Strategy Tester Extension:
- Net Profit, Closed trades, Winrate, Max Drawdown, Profit factor, Timeframe, Trading pair (sourced from TradingView’s strategy tester panel)
TradingView Alert to Telegram Extension:
- Trading alert content (symbol, timeframe, alert message, timestamp) — detected from the TradingView alert log panel
- TradingView session cookies (sessionid, csrftoken) — used solely to generate chart snapshot images via TradingView’s snapshot API
- User-provided configuration: Telegram bot token and chat ID — stored locally on the user’s device only
Use of Information
Strategy Tester data is compiled and displayed as a table on the user’s screen, or exported as an Excel file upon request. No data leaves the user’s browser.
Alert to Telegram data is forwarded exclusively to the Telegram Bot API endpoint (api.telegram.org) at the user’s explicit direction, using the bot token and chat ID provided by the user. This is the core purpose of the extension.
Sharing Information & Data Protection
Strategy Tester: No data is shared outside the user’s computer. All processing happens locally within the browser.
Alert to Telegram: Alert content (trading symbol, timeframe, message, chart snapshot URL) is transmitted to Telegram’s servers via the Telegram Bot API using HTTPS. This transmission occurs only to deliver alerts to the user’s own Telegram bot — no data is shared with Code2Trade or any other third party.
TradingView session cookies are used only to call TradingView’s snapshot API and are never stored beyond the active browser session.
The Telegram bot token and chat ID are stored locally on the user’s device (chrome.storage.local) and are never transmitted to Code2Trade’s servers.
